"Iran Confirms New Supreme Leader Is ‘Safe and Healthy’👇"

Iran Insists New Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Is “Safe and Healthy” — But Rumors of a Secret Injury Refuse to Fade

Iranian officials are pushing back hard against growing speculation surrounding the health of the country’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, insisting that he is “safe and healthy” despite a wave of rumors claiming he was wounded during the latest confrontation involving the United States and Israel.

The reassurance came from Yousef Pezeshkian, a government adviser and the son of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. In a message posted on Telegram on March 11, Pezeshkian said he personally investigated the circulating claims after hearing reports that Khamenei had been injured.

“I heard reports that Mojtaba Khamenei had been wounded,” he wrote. “I contacted people who are familiar with the situation, and they confirmed that he is safe and healthy, thanks to God.”

Yet the rumors have not disappeared.

Speculation intensified when Iranian state television unexpectedly referred to Khamenei as “Jaanbaz” — a Persian term commonly used to describe a warrior who has been injured in battle. The reference surfaced during coverage tied to the holy month of Ramadan, raising eyebrows and fueling questions about what might really be happening behind the scenes.

Adding even more intrigue, a report from The New York Times, citing three unnamed Iranian officials, claimed that Khamenei may indeed have been wounded earlier in the conflict. According to those sources, the injury allegedly occurred on February 28 — the first day of a joint U.S.–Israeli military operation against Iran.
